Letter Z of 26. Draw365 Post No.251

I started creating illustrated letters A – Z as a sub project under the draw365( a drawing a day for 365 days) drawing project. I had the desire to create letters that explore the notion of type as image in a manner that totally disregards the rules and strictures behind conventional typography. I am pleased to say that the drawings of the letters A – Z have been completed just in time for the new year!.

It was a fun and challenging project to work on and I had the time and space to explore and infuse my interests in  hand drawn type , popular culture, geometry etc and also my fascination with ascribing new meaning to already existing forms into the creation of the letters. Thank you all for viewing them and for the kind words.

The Draw365 project continues in the new year. I still have got 114 drawings to finish. Happy new year!. Thank you.
